Friday Ramblings

Thank God it’s Friday. Seriously.

Just writing a quick post to first announce that my blog surpassed 1700 views today! Woo!

Well, I didn’t post the next chapter of The Fallen this week, because…well, because it’s not done. Instead of finishing it I went off on a tangent about erotic literature and whether or not it promotes unhealthy relationships -but that’s OK, I’m glad I wrote it and I thought it turned out well. (If you haven’t, you can read it here.) Hopefully I will resume progress on The Fallen, but that may not happen because I’m starting to prepare for my qualifying exam in the coming weeks, which I’m actually really excited about!!! Because I’m a huge dork, haha.

Anyway, what I have done is created a playlist on YouTube containing all of the random-ass songs I’ve been listening to while writing The Fallen. I just thought it would be a fun thing to share. It’s embedded in the side menu thingy if you scroll down a bit. I listened to it while I was doing work today, and I thought the flow of songs fit together strangely well even though they’re from drastically different artists and genres. (Although this just may be my impression because they’re some of my favorite songs…)

Meanwhile, I have to resist reading Karen Moning’s The Immortal Highlander because I have a lot of work to do. But it’s so amazingly good. The Spell of the Highlander was pretty good, but Immortal is pretty much a prequel to the Fever series, so I’m devouring it. I plan to post reviews of these books…someday…
